trip to NJ

what do you mean i have to sit in this car seat for 4.5 hours??

incidentally, Noah did great on his first long car trip to NJ.  it took him maybe 15 minutes to fall asleep and then he slept for approx. 2 hours; we stopped in bedford NY a little more than halfway to NJ for a diaper change – i attempted to nurse him, but he was SO distracted in the car; got back on the road and gave him a bottle which took about 30 minutes or so; and then he played contentedly the remaining hour or so.  well done, Noah!  the trick is definitely to leave during his morning nap time so that he sleeps for a couple hours and to pack enough milk and toys to keep him occupied for his awake time.
