We spent last weekend in the Berkshires with seven of my favorite college ladies and their men.  There was only one other baby there – Emily and Mario’s daughter, Anna.  Berta had us both stay in what we dubbed the “family” cabin with our own separate entrance, away from the noise.  We were definitely a little segregated, but it ended up being for the best I think.

Aside from a little trouble falling asleep that night (hello crying and screaming for almost 90 minutes!?!), Noah was a champ.  He napped well (we even had to wake him up on Sunday from his 2+ hour morning nap to make it to lunch in time), was happy during awake times, had fun at meal times in the dining hall (thank god there was an Eddie Bauer high chair there), and slept through the night (that is, when he fell asleep, which didn’t happen until like 10PM).

We had big plans to snowshoe around the pond at Berta’s camp, but it was a little too cold for any outside activities with the baby (boo!).  I was able to go tubing during Noah’s afternoon nap on Saturday, and Pete was able to join some of the group on the outdoor ropes course during this same nap (I’m telling you, the kid napped very well).  We ended up bringing a set of the ABC foam mat with us for Noah’s playtime in the cabin, which some of the boys rearranged to spell something crass!

We had a great time with the gang, but definitely could have enjoyed ourselves more without Noah in tow.  If we do this again in the future, unless the majority of the girls have babies by then (unlikely), we will probably opt to leave Noah with Grandma and Grandpa (sorry, kiddo!).

Noah was totally wiped out on the ride home:
