We told both sides of the family over Christmas/New Year’s – my mom squealed with delight and my dad kept saying this was the best Christmas ever. I think both sets of parents were completely surprised; the siblings, however, had all pretty much noticed my non-drinking of late and had their suspicions. I called Dorothy and Berta this week and told them over the phone – they were both thrilled (per Dorothy: “This is the happiest day of my life”). We’ll be telling the UNH crew (all 15 of them, minus Bekka and Em) this Sunday at our annual holiday party – getting a little nervous about that as I HATE being the center of attention and talking about myself. I’m sure it will be an overwhelming day (a good overwhelming though).

Symptoms of late – feeling bulky. Also suffered terrible gas pains over the New Year holiday, due in part I’m sure to the food I was eating (cream cheese galore) and being so nervous about spilling the beans. Sleeping fine. No longer have the food aversions so that is nice. Exercising when I can, but sometimes use the cold as an excuse. I swear, if it wasn’t 25 degrees outside and dark when I get home from work I’d be out there jogging/walking every night! Perhaps should look more into a gym. New yoga studio opening in Acton in early February so maybe I will do that a couple times a week. Pete has been a gem and has been cooking dinners most every night and has been letting the dog out, too.

Heard the baby’s heartbeat this week at a doctor’s appointment – apparently they listen for the heartbeat at every appointment here on out – BPM was in the 150s and the nurse said that was normal. Was weighed with my boots on (125 lbs) and then when the nurse left I weighed myself again without the boots on (123 lbs). Blood pressure was 116/80. Want to plan a trip away with Pete in Feb/March – but also would like to save money – hmmm…
