We bought a crib and cute onesie for baby! Massive research shopping weekend in Nashua and found a crib and dresser/changing table combo at BRU for a ridiculous price (we ended up saving a ton of money as BRU was having a 20% off cribs sale and then another 10% off for opening up a store card; not to mention the fact that because we are going to pick up instead of having it shipped we knocked off another few hundred). We got overwhelmed by glider options – are they really necessary or just a luxury? Those puppies were expensive.

Also looked into paint colors for the nursery – thinking light soothing green colors. Also picked up a light fixture at Home Depot. Maybe this child will have somewhere to sleep after all.

No changes in symptoms since last post. Second trimester has definitely been easier than first though. Feeling the kicks and movement multiple times a day now and it’s interesting to figure out when the baby is most active (seems to be 10PM at night when I’m trying to sleep!). Still eating like a champ and never quite feeling full. Finishing meals that I would have never finished pre-pregnancy and eating ice cream most nights. I feel tired lately, but that is perhaps due to some interesting sleep schedules in the last few weeks (you mean staying up until 4AM at slumber parties and bachelorette parties isn’t acceptable for a pregnant lady??). Get weepy often when reading or watching something sad on TV (damn you, Sarah MacLachlan!).

Exercise has been a bit harder lately, especially running. It usually doesn’t hurt while running, but I have pain in my hips/hamstrings in the days after I run; I really don’t want to give it up yet! Still mixing up walking/running/yoga as much as I can. The last week has been difficult to find time for much exercise what with a Vermont bachelorette weekend away and choir concert and now soon to be babymoon to Mexico (yep, we finally bit the bullet and booked a trip – Playa del Carmen here we come!).

Will write again soon for weeks 25-26 and also will have a post about our trip!
