William’s 3 week wellness visit

Met with Dr. Cohen again this afternoon.  Since we didn’t see the Dr. until Will was 1 week old, he asked us to come back at Will’s 3 week mark instead of the normal 2 week appointment.  To compare, here is his 1 week visit recap.  This week, Will weighed 7 lbs. 15.6 oz. (17%), was 21.25 inches long (58%) and his head circumference was 36.25cm. (35%).  I asked about Will’s spitting up and his gas.  Dr. said as long as Will is not projectile vomiting, normal spit up is fine and expected – try keeping him upright a little while after eating – if projectile could mean reflux issues and there is medication for that.  As for Will’s gas, Dr. said I can try cutting dairy out of my diet, and chocolate, beans, broccoli, etc. and see if it makes any difference.
